Augusta Health said Oct. 15 it finalized the acquisition of Harrisonburg Family Practice, a seven-physician primary care practice at 1831 Reservoir Street in Harrisonburg that has served the community for 50 years.
The practice offers family medicine for patients of all ages, laboratory services, women’s health care, in-office procedures and Saturday office hours, according to Augusta Health. The organization said the practice will keep its current name and location during the transition, and patients can continue seeing their current physicians and care team there.
Augusta Health said the target timeline for integrating the practice into Augusta Medical Group is June 2027. After the transition, Harrisonburg Family Practice will be more connected to Augusta Health’s primary and specialty care services and resources, the announcement said.
The announcement did not provide a separate practice phone number or details about appointment hours beyond Saturday office hours.
