Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg ranked among U.S. News & World Report’s 2027 Best Colleges, the university announced Oct. 6. The rankings were released Sept. 22, according to EMU.
EMU tied for No. 66 among regional universities in the South and No. 31 among private regional universities in the South, the announcement said. It ranked No. 4 among private regional colleges and universities in Virginia.
The university also placed No. 144 among U.S. News’ Top Performers in Social Mobility, a ranking that assesses how well schools graduate economically disadvantaged students, according to EMU.
EMU said its EMU Promise Grant covers the full cost of tuition for eligible students. The university also said its Visit Grant offers up to $4,000 over four years to students who visit by Dec. 23 and enroll in fall 2027. The announcement directed prospective students and families to EMU’s website for details.
