Bridgewater College will host Shenandoah University in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference men’s soccer tournament semifinal at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the Bridgewater Soccer Complex, according to a Bridgewater College Athletics announcement. The second-seeded Eagles and third-seeded Hornets will play for a place in Saturday’s championship match, the announcement said.
Bridgewater enters the semifinal with an 11-4-3 record after a 1-0 quarterfinal win over seventh-seeded Hampden-Sydney, according to the announcement. Shenandoah, listed at 9-3-6, advanced with a 2-1 win over sixth-seeded “Batten,” as spelled in the announcement.
The teams met in the regular-season finale Oct. 28, when Shenandoah won 1-0 on a first-half penalty kick, according to Bridgewater College Athletics. The announcement said Bridgewater had a 9-8 edge in shots and held Shenandoah to one attempt after halftime.
