Eastern Mennonite University says The String Queens will perform at its annual EMU/Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival Gala Concert on Friday, Nov. 13, at Lehman Auditorium in Harrisonburg. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., according to the university’s announcement.
The university says this year’s gala is themed “Dream” and will feature The String Queens with the EMU Jam Collective. The program also includes the EMU University Choir performing Ola Gjeilo’s “Sunrise Mass” and the EMU Wind Ensemble performing David Maslanka’s “Give Us This Day: Short Symphony for Wind Ensemble,” according to the announcement.
The concert is free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $10 to $20 at the door, the university said. Lehman Auditorium is at 1191 Park Road, according to the event information.
The university says the concert will also be livestreamed on the Eastern Mennonite University Department of Music’s YouTube channel. Everence and The Dr. M. Lee Pearce Foundation, Inc., are listed as sponsors.
